Friday and Thanksgiving at Memaw's and Pepaw's

We had Thanksgiving at Memaw's and Pepaw's Saturday after Thanksgiving. Memaw makes really yummy dressing. We always have a good, relaxing time when we get together. I didn't take many pictures, but below are a few that either I took or Pepaw took.

Happy Thanksgiving from us!

(Ella Kate really is very thankful today! Ha! The sun was super bright.)

We are so thankful for everything we have. We have an awesome God and church family, amazing family and friends, and health.We couldn't ask for more. We went to Uncle Larry's and Aunt Bobbie's for our annual Thanksgiving lunch. It is always fun to get together with our extended family. We really missed Nana, Uncle William, Kk, Jc, and of course precious Kadence. Nana is in New York with William.

Pictures, Teeth, and Playing with Friends :)

Yesterday we went to get pictures made. When Ella Kate was four I had her picture made in a pretty, green smocked dress. I got a big one framed, and when I found out I was having Emma Klaire I knew I wanted her to wear the same dress and get her picture made. I can't believe that it was finally time to get that picture made. Talking about time flying by!!!!! She did great, and we got some of both of them also. Hopefully I can put them on here soon.

After pictures we ate at Danvers and went to the orthodontist. Ella Kate got a good report. Then we went to lots of stores and the mall. We were worn out!!! In fact, Emma Klaire told Norman when we got home ....."Been long day. Hope I never have to do that again!"  Ha! Words can't begin to describe that silly girl.

Snowflake had moved to our tree when we got home!!!!!  ???????? Emma Klaire said, " He is magic!"

Today we finished decorating the inside of the house for Christmas. Katelyn and Abby were scheduled to come play for the afternoon. Abby is sick, but Katelyn got to come.

Making Memories

Today has been a perfect day! The girls were in and out going to Pepaw's and Memaw's and back home. It pretty much rained a lot of the day and was cloudy, but it was so relaxing. I caught up on laundry, and then we started getting the Christmas decorations out. I used to say I wouldn't put up Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but I got over that. I like getting it done so that we can enjoy it the rest of the week and not have to worry about getting it up. The tree is up and all the decorations are on the kitchen table to be put around the house tomorrow. Norman will have to do the outside decorations when he as time, and I think this year we will decorate the stair rail at some point.  I have such wonderful memories of putting up our Christmas tree with my mama, daddy, and siblings. We used to drink hot chocolate and eat cheese toast after we decorated our tree. So I am off to make hot chocolate!  Yum Yum!!!!!

                                           SNOWFLAKE IS BACK!!!!!!

Snowflake is an elf on the shelf. He makes sure we are on our toes during the Christmas season. He got out of the box while we were decorating. We can't wait to see what Snowflake will do this season. 

I got so tickled at Emma Klaire a minute ago. Ella Kate was telling her that Snowflake was watching her, and she better behave. Emma Klaire told Ella Kate, "That elf ain't alive!!"  Ha! I got so tickled.

I was just now telling Norman the little story above and Emma Klaire overheard us. She said, "I am supposed to say isn't not ain't...right?"   

Glad we got that cleared up!

ELLA KATE

I feel like I have been doing way too many posts about Emma Klaire and not enough about Ella Kate. She to has been busy and so sweet!  She got to go on a field trip to Oxford to visit Roanoke, ride a double decker bus, and visit the Grove. I hate to say though.............I have no pictures. She is also practicing her piano pieces to play at the music club's Christmas meeting, practicing for the church's and school's Christmas program, and getting her Christmas list ready. I do have some more reading fair pictures to share though!

THIRD SUNDAY

Today after church we hosted Third Sunday. I am not sure if I have blogged about this before or not. But every other third Sunday Norman's extended family gets together at someone's house to eat. It is really special that they still do this. We always enjoy the visiting and of course the yummy food. I took a few pictures...I really meant to take more.  These were not all the ones here.

We are super excited about being off this whole week!!!!!!!! Tomorrow is a planned day of nothing......except sleeping late, playing, blogging (I will be caught up tomorrow....I hope...ha!!), and maybe putting up the Christmas tree. I love the holidays.............and I love being home with my girls!!! ....and Norman will be off at the end of the week to make for a perfect ending of what I hope/plan to be an amazing week.

Leaf Fun!!!
