Tonight we had a our Vacation Bible School Commencement Service

Our Theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch

Emma Klaire surprised me and sang with her class. It was so sweet! Ella Kate did a great job also. She knew every motion and all the words.

We have had a busy day! Rebecca and Barry came and swam after the VBS program. (Rebecca went to the program with us and was a big help while we cleaned up.) After they left, Norman and I decided to move everything out of our living room and shampoo the carpet...Why I asked? But I really am glad we did it. Now tomorrow I have to go through everything and put stuff back in its place.

A Visit with Family

Today was spent at Memaw's and Pepaw's with family. One of my favorite kind of days. We ate way too much and played hard. We swam a little and cried a little. I haven't gotten to spend near as much time with my nephew, Elijah, as I had thought I would have by now, but today we played. Mae Mae and I got to catch up (school talk of course). We are we planning a day trip to their house before school so the kids can play again. Blake is staying the week with Pepaw and Memaw, and Mason .......well Mason kept running from the camera!!!!!!

I was really proud of Emma Klaire. She let Lie Lie (as she calls him) ride first with Ella Kate without fussing.

I wish I could have videoed this. They got so tickled with each other!   Precious Memories......................

My Ding Dong Cake was edible, but not very lookable (I know that isn't a word!) Mason said he would eat it, but he had to hide his eyes while I cut into it! HA!  I had a picture of the finished product to share, but I deleted it instead. I do have a picture of it once it was cut.

I used almost two things of frosting to cover up all the cracks. LOL!

But Emma Klaire sure enjoyed it!!!!

As I was getting Emma Klaire out of the bathtub tonight she was crying. I was wrapping her in her towel and she said, "I need a nap!"   My response was, "Amen, sister!"  HA!

Counting My Joys!!!!

I got to thinking today about all the joy in my life.I am so thankful to God for giving me so much! I am so thankful for a husband that loves me so much and my two girls who always want their mommy. I hope that I will always be on the top of their list! I am so thankful for my family and friends. There are many other joys..I have too many to mention. Maybe I could list one or two things that I am so thankful for each day. I would never get through......................

Yesterday the girls and I did a few errands. We tried to eat and play at McDonald's but it was way to hot!!!! As my mother says, McDonald's makes too much money  not to be able to keep the inside playground air conditioned. Anyway...We picked Nana up and went for Ella Kate's first orthodontist visit. She is going to have to have two teeth pulled. Not fun!!!!! We also stopped off at Yummy Yogurt.....Yummy is right! 

 Last night we had VBS, and as usual the girls loved it.

Today we swam ....(IT IS SO HOT HERE!). Now Emma Klaire is napping and Ella Kate is watching tv. I should be cleaning, but I have a lot on my mind. I have decided blogging is relaxing....so I am not cleaning. It can wait. I am however in the process of making a Ding Dong Cake!  .....let me rephrase attempting to make a Ding Dong Cake!

We spent the day just staying around the house until VBS time. We slept late, swam a little, and cleaned

(me that is ). I try to "deep" clean each room of my house each year.This year I am just now getting started, so every room will probably not get done. I did our bedroom today. I went through all the drawers, dusted, took valances down to get cleaned, etc. Hopefully it will last a while....we will see.

At VBS tonight we learned about how God has a plan for all of us. Isn't that cool!  Emma Klaire's teachers said she loved the story tonight about Zacchaeuss. They sang the song...    Zacchaeuss was a wee little man...... They said she wanted to sing it over and over. I reallly wish I could be a fly on the wall and watch her learning each night.

I AM WONDERFULLY MADE!

We had our first night of Vacation Bible School last night. The girls loved it. I was very proud of Emma Klaire because she stayed in her class the whole time. Ella Kate really enjoyed her class also. Our bible verse last night was "I am wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14. I think I needed to be reminded of that. As I was telling my kids last night.....God made you just like he wanted you to be...I got to thinking...hey that is me too. Now I know that doesn't mean that I shouldn't work on a few things. HA!

Today the girls and I went visit Nana and Gran Gran. Making memories.......

Our 4th of July

Isn't this pricesless!

The last few days we have been unpacking, swimming, and getting ready for VBS. Yesterday was July 4th. I am so proud to be American, and I know that I need to stop and remember just how blessed I am to live in this wonderful country! We had a wonderful July 4th church service. Then last night we went to my cousin's house for their annual July 4th celebration. It was so much fun! The girls love getting together with their cousins. We don't do it near often enough. Below are a few pictures taken at our fourth of July Celebration.  I have more with some of the cousins that I might put on later.

Our Exciting Trip to KK's and JC's

We had an amazing trip to Texas to visit KK and JC (Katherine and Jonathan). We left around 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning. It was Nana, the girls, and me! We got to KK's around 1:45 p.m.  It was a long drive, but we had a great trip.  After we got there, we unloaded and took a tour of their new, beautiful house. I wish I had taken more pictures of their home...it is so pretty!  We then went to eat at a little Mexican restaurant and then on to Kroger. Just little things like grocery shopping are so much fun because we don't get to do things like that with KK very often. We just hung out at their house the rest of Saturday which was right up my alley!!! Fun!!

The pictures above were Sunday after church. We went to their new church. It is soooo big. It was a very good service, and I think it is a great experience for my girls to see that you can worship in large and small churches.After their "Big" church, we went to the Sunday School which was all the youth together. It was great also. The girls and I left a little early. KK then fixed lunch for all of us and Jonathan's family. It was so good to get to visit with them again. We missed seeing Courtney though....she was out of town.

After lunch we went to Target (YEAH!), Panaera Bread (Yum!) and then Yogurt Story (Double Yum!) I wish I had taken pictures at Yogurt Story. It is a place where you pick the flavor or flavors that you want and you dispense it. Then you put your own toppings on. You pay by the weight. Lots of yummy fun!

Monday we slept late and went to the water park.. So much fun! Ella Kate went down all the slides. Emma Klaire loved the lazy river. I don't have any pictures :(

After the water park, we went to Jonathan's parents house for supper. It was really good, and we had lots of fun fellowship time. My girls love to play with Kim's (Jonathan's sister) boys.

.......of course most nights JC and KK played hide-n-seek with the girls...their favorite.  JC can always find the coolest places to hide.

 It was so much fun being with KK. Then Nana took us all out to eat steak. After a wonderful supper we went to a really neat park, and then back to Yogurt Story! Below are pictures taken when we went to out to eat and at the playground.

 We left Wednesday @ 8:00 a.m. We got home around 7:00 p.m. Another looooooooooong drive....but was so worth it....and we WILL do it agian.  

The only thing wrong with this trip was ..............................Norman had to work :(
