The Heat is On!!!!

WOW!!! IT IS SOOOOO HOT! I love summer, but the heat is rough. Thank goodness most days we can just play in the pool. One of the hardest parts of going back to school in August (besides having to get back on a schedule with an alarm clock) is the extreme heat. Enough about school for now............that will come soon enough!

Yesterday we just hung out at the pool and then went to vbs. Elizabeth Grace spent the night with Ella Kate tonight.

The last week of June Nana, the girls, and me went to spend the night with Aunt Kathy. Adam and Micah came and spent the night also. We always make such good memories there.

Adam and Micah call Aunt Kathy... Nana, so we called them Nana K and Nana W while we visited. Ha!

So until next time..............I hope you find much JOY!

VBS and Other Stuff :)

This week is VBS at our church. THE BIG APPLE ADVENTURE...the girls are having a blast. I am teaching the kindergarten class which is great. Yesterday we stayed at home and swam and cleaned until VBS time. Today we went to an orthodontic appointment and then to the mall.

I am still playing catch up........ Thursday June 23 the girls, Nana, and me went to Gran Gran's house and played. It was so good to get to go back to her house.

That Friday we just hung out at home. (It is amazing how even though it is summer.......we stay so busy! I cherish our days of just staying at home.) Saturday and Sunday were just a regular weekend. Ella Kate had a Sunday School swimming party at Mrs. Michelle's that Saturday night. Sunday Elijah came to stay a few days at "Pepaw Camp."

Too much fun!!!

So until next time..........I hope you find much JOY!!

I will pick up with the last week of June :)

Happy Father's Day to the Best!!! and Other Things

This week we have been kind of busy. Sunday was Father's Day!
I am so thankful for my husband who is an amazing daddy to his girls. They are so blessed!
Norman and his girls

We are also very thankful for Pepaw and D! Y'all are the best!

On Father's Day we went to church and then ate lunch at Memaw's. After lunch Norman, me, the girls and Pepaw swam. Thanks to the "pool boy" the water was beautiful.

Later in the afternoon, D and Nana came to eat supper and swim with us. We had a wonderful Father's Day!

Too Cool!!!!

Ok...now to try some video...............ha! Well I can't figure it out. I am going to go ahead and post this, and then I will get Norman to help me sometime.

Monday we stayed around the house, swam, and napped, etc. Tuesday Ella Kate had an orthodontic appointment (yes....braces this summer!), so we went and had lunch at Chick-fil-a....her favorite. Today I took Emma Klaire to her "school" to play for a bit. She actually got up and was very excited to see her friends.......which makes me a happy mama. It is so nice not to have to worry about her! She has moved up (that makes me kind of sad :(   though). She is now in the four year old room with Ms Annie....whom we adore! Anyway she had a great day!
Pepaw, Ella Kate, and I went to see Mr. Popper's Penguin. It was a really cute movie, and we had a great time. We have church tonight, so I got to get supper ready.

So until next time.............I hope you find much JOY!

Just Hanging Out and Blogging For a Year!

The past few days or so we have just been hanging out! We sleep late, swim, swim, play, and stay up late. I love my time with the girls!
I have now been blogging for a year now. I hope to find out how to make it into a book. I would like to make a book once a year. I am so glad that I started my blog.............I so wish I had done it earlier. Anyway it is a great, quick way to record memories!

Below are some pictures of our yard and of course the girls:
These are for you...Aunt Jancie!

This color is my favorite of all my lilies.

Below Emma Klaire is brushing her teeth. I just love the stool, and I know one day in the near future she won't need it :(

This is Ella Kate trying out her daddy's new coffee maker. Who knew? They make hot chocolate K-cups. Yummy!

Playing in the sprinkler after the pool....

So until next time.............I hope you find much JOY!

Our lilies are really showing out this year.
