Cookout and Friends Swimming

Ella Kate got to go to her teacher's house for a cookout the first Saturday in June. Mrs. Patterson rewarded them for all their hard work on the MCT2. Ella Kate had a blast!

Today Ella Kate had Anna Crane and Elizabeth Grace over to swim and play. They have had a ball and should sleep reallly well tonight! I didn't get a picture .........................I need to start taking pictures again. I have really slacked on that part.

Tuesday, May 31st, Norman had a birthday!!!

I could not find a recent picture......except this one...:) Thanks Norman for being a wonderful, loving, coffee-drinking husband and daddy. You are the best. We had just gotten home from Texas at 3:30 in the morning the day of his birthday. But I found the energy to go get groceries and have birthday supper...yummy! We had grilled chicken, homemade mac and cheese, homemade ice cream, etc. We bought a cake so that Ella Kate could put a Pac Man on top. He likes to reminisce about his Pac Man days. Ha! He got a Keurig Coffee Maker for his birthday, Father's Day, etc. He is enjoying it...........I must say.

Once again is an amazing husband and daddy, and I am very thankful for him.

Can You Find Kadence?

Emma Klaire loves to play "nap time" with her babies, so at KK's we played "nap time" with Kadence. Ha!

Norman and Jonathan went to a Rangers game while we were in Texas. Norman ( and JC) had a blast! Norman has told the story how the Rangers hit back to back to back home runs!! Obviously it was something to see!!!! While the guys were there, us girls took Kadence on her first trip to Target....Go Girls!!!!!!!!!

My last day of school was last Wednesday, May 25th. We packed and headed out when Norman got home from work Thursday.

We drove to Bryant, Arkansas and spent the night. The girls thought that was cool. Especially Emma Klaire............she just couldn't believe there was a bed, and we were staying there! Ha!

We got up Friday morning and finished our trip. We got to KK's house around 2:00. We couldn't wait to get our hands on that precious baby. I gave her many kisses! We pretty much just stayed around their house and took turns holding Kadence. (If you can spoil one that young......I think we took care of it! Ha!)

Kadence had her first trip to Target and her first bath while we were there. I have several more (actually many more HA!) pictures to share. I just really wanted to get at least one post posted.




***On a different note....since we have been home we have swam, swam, and swam some more. If you look back at some of my post last year there are some pictures of where Emma Klaire started swimming some. Well this afternoon she started again. Really swimming.....like several feet.....so sweet. I remember well when Ella Kate started swimming. I love watching them learn and feeling so proud. I will try to post pictures of both of them swimming soon.

What a weekend!

I am going to start with this weekend, and then if I still have some energy (HA!) I am going to blog about a few other things. We had a SUPER busy weekend!!!

Friday Ella Kate and I left with her teacher headed to Jackson for the State Reading Fair. Jackson and Tucker rode with their mama and daddy. They did an awesome job and got third in their division. Then we had a yummy lunch at Amerigo's!! After lunch we head to New Albany for dress rehearsal for Ella Kate's dance recital. We made it with one minute to spare.....literally :)

Saturday morning we left with Memaw and Pepaws headed to Olive Branch to watch Blake Graduate! Go Blake!!

After graduation Mae Mae and Uncle Matt had Blake a graduation lunch. So we got to hang out and visit for a while.

After lunch and a change of clothes, we headed to New Albany for Ella Kate's dance recital. She did an amazing job!!!! She smiled and put on a show. We were so proud of her !!!!

Aren't you tired just reading all of that? Ha! It was a fun weekend though with lots of memories made.

Ella Kate also had her awards day this past week. I didn't get to go because I was having mine at the same time. Her daddy went, and we were so proud. She got several great awards. She had an awesome third grade year. Thanks to Mrs. A. Patterson, Mrs. Luther, Mrs. Gazzaleway, and Mrs. Harris.  Thanks a million!!!
